2. Scope

These terms apply to the use of the site and to the services we provide: removals, shopping transport, motorcycle transport and Airbnb setup.

3. Requests and quotes

  • Requests can be made by WhatsApp, phone or email.
  • The prices shown on the site, including those in the calculator, are indicative (“from”) and do not replace the final quote.
  • The final quote depends on volume, access, distance, urgency and logistics, and is confirmed before the service.

4. Carrying out the service

  • The customer must ensure suitable access to the loading and unloading locations.
  • Essential information must be given before the service (stairs, lift, sensitive items, etc.).
  • Don Michi reserves the right to adjust the timing or the price if there are relevant changes that were not communicated beforehand.

5. Payments and cancellations

  • Payment terms are those agreed in the confirmed quote. We accept MB Way, bank transfer and cash.
  • Last-minute cancellations may entail payment of operating costs already incurred.
  • Rescheduling depends on availability.

6. Liability

Don Michi acts with professional diligence and takes appropriate measures to protect the goods it carries. The customer must tell us in advance about items of special value, fragile items or items with specific handling requirements.

The content of the site (text, brand, layout and images) is protected by intellectual property rights and may not be reproduced without permission.

Alternative dispute resolution for consumers

In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may turn to a consumer alternative dispute resolution (ADR) entity (in Portuguese RAL, Resolução Alternativa de Litígios). For contracts concluded in the Porto Metropolitan Area, the competent entity is:

CICAP – Centro de Informação de Consumo e Arbitragem do Porto
Rua Damião de Góis, 31, Loja 6, 4050-225 Porto
Tel. +351 225 508 349 · cicap@cicap.pt · www.cicap.pt

Outside that area, the competent entity is the regional arbitration centre concerned or, failing that, CNIACC – Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (www.cniacc.pt). The list of all RAL entities is available on the Portuguese consumer portal (www.consumidor.gov.pt).

By law (Article 14 of Portuguese Law 24/96), low-value consumer disputes — currently up to €5,000 — are subject to mandatory arbitration or mediation when the consumer so chooses.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. In the event of a dispute, the courts designated by law have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the alternative dispute resolution mechanisms mentioned above. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants to consumers.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the date shown at the top.
